Each painting begins with a moment that caught my attention, a certain light, or a place I couldn't forget. Every stroke is an attempt to return.

I’m Lance Hewison, a German–American painter drawn to atmosphere, memory, and emotion.

My work has been exhibited internationally, with shows in San Francisco, New York, London, and Hamburg, and is held in private collections across Europe and North America.

I studied painting at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and later at Chelsea College of Arts in London. But more than anything, my work has evolved through a continuous search for stillness, depth, and presence.
